　　From the picture, we can see that a man is walkingunder the sun. Before him is a shadow and behind him is the sun. As is noted onthe right side of the drawing, where there’s shadow ahead,there’s sunshinebehind. Obviously, the shadow stands for the difficulties in life while thesunshine represents hopes lying behind. Thus, we may conclude that when facedwith difficulties, we should always be optimistic.

　　The significance of optimism lies in the followingaspects. First and foremost,，life is full of setbacks and failures.Every time we are in adversity,we need to maintain an optimistic mentality topull through pain and sorrow, twists and turns. Othervise, we’ll be defeated bythe adversity. Secondly, optimism contributes to our health,wealth and success.A case in point is that up to today, countless studies have shown thatoptimistic feelings reduce the risks of many diseases, adding to the fact thathealth is the precondition of wealth and success.
